Persona



From Latin persōna (mask; character), sometimes said to derive from personare (to sound through) or from Etruscan 𐌘𐌄𐌓𐌔𐌖 (φersu), from Ancient Greek πρόσωπον (prosōpon).

persona (plural personas or personae or personæ)
  1. A social role.
  2. A character played by an actor.
  3. (psychology) The mask or appearance one presents to the world.
  4. (computing) A type of skin used in Mozilla software.
